The Veikk 1200 is a great drawing monitor, with a pristinely clear screen. Like their other devices, you can use it almost immediately out of the box by simply installing the driver and getting to work. It lives up to the monitor status in its name, too, allowing me to interact with it like my other monitors, which let me jump right into using it. The responsiveness is easily the best part about the Veikk 1200. I was not entirely sure what to expect, but it took next to no adjustment to start drawing. I'm still a beginning artist, but working with this monitor was almost as intuitive as drawing on paper. It's nice having to only look at the monitor, and as a person who has three, including the Veikk 1200, it's even better not having to play a game of where's my cursor.

I purchased this tablet out of curiosity of screen tablets. I've been a long-term user of Wacom tablets and more recently the iPad Pro, so I'm familiar with various feels. I'm a big fan of sketching on the iPad because of the screen aspect, and sometimes I miss Photoshop functionality, but the more expensive lines like Cintiq are out of my price-range. In comes VEIKK. Packaging and Materials: 5/5 Veikk is very generous with accessories which is quite nice, as I do go through nibs pretty frequently. The outer box came a little dirty, but that didn't really concern me. Coming with two pens, casings, a drawing glove, and all the cords you'd need. I really like the feeling of all the materials, including the pen and tablet itself. It feels solid but not too heavy. Setup: 4/5 I found this process easy enough, and despite the warnings to not have other drivers installed, I managed to have both Wacom and Veikk drivers functioning normally on my PC which was relieving. (I uninstalled Wacom, go Veikk installed, then re-installed Wacom.) I did have to mess with a setting in the drivers to enable windows ink to allow for pressure sensitivity, but otherwise everything worked.

When it comes to Pen Displays most professional artists will tell you that the Wacom series of pen tablets and computers are the gold standard with prices that reflect it. However, if you are looking for something to start digital art, you are faced with a much different market that has no singular clear-cut winner. Based on my experience with pen displays I expected the VK1200 to be a fair unit, but somewhat had low expectations. What I found was a 1920 by 1080-pixel screen with a metal body that includes shortcut keys. This 11.6-inch tablet has features that I was not expecting at the price point, which is a welcome surprise. The driver install was easy, while using the tablet was smooth and accurate. I did not have any issues with pen inaccuracy with doing various shapes that were generated by the tablet when using Clip Studio Paint. The responsiveness of the pen was impressive, with no noticeable lag when I tried it. I would recommend this tablet as an affordable way for someone interested in digital art to get into the medium. For the cost of the tablet, a stand, and your choice of program you can have a functional set up for less than the cost of a Wacom pen tablet.

The VK1200 is a pretty good and standard display pc tablet. I personally use it for my laptop, especially when I'm traveling and it fits in nicely with my laptop in its case. The tablet uses 1 USB slot and 1 HDMI slot so I don't need to worry about finding an outlet spot for it. The tablet itself is pretty sturdy for a smaller thin tablet and the buttons on the tablet have a little bit of resistance to them so it's safe when traveling and when using, it won't accidentally "trigger" The tilt and sensitivity is pretty good for a considerably affordable display tablet. I haven't had an problems with the standard default tilt/sensitivity settings but you can definitely adjust it on their settings.

The Viekk VK 1200 is a marvelous drawing tablet. This is the first one I ever owned or tried. Easy to set up. Works perfectly on Gimp Photo Editor, Adobe Photoshop 10, Inkscape and Illustrator. This device has renewed my love of drawing and painting. In the digital age, I can easily draw and edit any image I create. The Veikk is a true treasure for me to own.
